Artist Statement
My work is about exploring the imagination and creating magical worlds and fantastic creatures.
I grew up in the Lake District so have always been inspired by the landscape and the beauty of nature. I am fascinated in the fairy world and also with painting figures so combine the two to create original and unique Fairy Portraits and fantasy art. Each piece I produce is fresh and unique, no two pieces are the same. I aim to make them more than just portraits but unique pieces of art.
I like to inspire people’s imaginations, narrate through my use of imagery and make my pieces come alive with energy and movement and capture the unique magic my subjects have.
I aim to recapture the innocence of childhood and create my fairy portraits and artwork as a way of reconnecting with nature and childhood dreams of magic, wishes, and faraway worlds.
Although I specialise in fantasy art, I am also able to adapt to suit my clients requirements so if there is something a bit different you want for your home please let me know and I can create it just for you!
